About Me

I have always loved the children's story of The Velveteen Rabbit.

I am sure you've heard of it, but incase you haven't, it tells of a bunny rabbit that was given to a little child as a gift:

The rabbit was well loved for a long time, until he was replaced...then forgotten.
He was threadbare and in not perfect condition.
He eventually was thrown out to the trash, where he was set to disappear forever.
The toy fairy came and 'rescued' him from the trash pile, where he became 'like new' again!

This story can be taken a couple different ways.

First off, believe it or not, I heard my pastor teach this one Sunday morning. Referring to us individuals as we come to Christ. Totally made sense!!

Secondly, you can also correlate the likes of this story to us 'thrift junkies' {lol}

I am completely in love with used, worn out objects that I can paint, re-stich, cut-up, re-glue, etc.

My home pays homage to my ever growing pile!! {hey! How can I throw that out???}

I am very fortunate to have a crafty, decor loving family that {for the most part} supports my endeavors.

I still have lots to learn.

When I am not holding a glue gun and burning my fingers, you can find me playing {or breaking up fights} with my two little angels,  Maci and Makenzie.

For the time being, we are spending a lot of time educating ourselves with all the ins and outs of being a parent of a child with Leukemia. Not the best news we've ever heard. But with God's help and support from our wonderful family, church and friends, we are steadily surviving, day by day!!

I started this blog to document my 'ever changing' tastes in home decor, crafts and whatever else I feel like writing about.

As you can tell, I love to blab in person {sorry!} and I LOVE to blab in type.

Hope you find it worth 'following' along, and enjoying the craziness of life :)
